Overview

Hayashi Yakiniku, nestled in the heart of Mandaluyong City near ParkLea and Bermuda Hotel, offers a compelling destination for lovers of Japanese barbecue. This restaurant turns the concept of Yakiniku into an accessible and flavorful experience without the usual fuss. Upon arrival, you might mistake the building for a cozy home rather than a restaurant, lending the place an intimate, relaxed vibe that contrasts with bustling city life.

The main highlight, of course, is the quality of the meat. Customers consistently praise the beef strips and other cuts, which are generous, fresh, and cooked to order. The signature Hayashi sauce adds a distinct character that complements the grilled flavors beautifully. Beyond the grilled offerings, dishes like chicken teriyaki, takoyaki, and chicken katsu provide a delightful balance and assure variety to the palate.

Hayashi Yakiniku accommodates a broad range of diners—from small family groups to larger gatherings. Group reservations are welcome, with function rooms available that include amenities like karaoke for a modest extra fee, creating a lively yet comfortable setting for celebrations. However, families with young children might find the environment less ideal due to the setup and overall space.

While the atmosphere earns high marks for being welcoming and subtly upscale, some technical aspects could use improvement. Ventilation and air conditioning have been noted as inconsistent, which can affect dining comfort during peak hours. Service, although generally responsive, has a varied tempo depending on the visit, signaling room for refinement in staff attentiveness.

Strategically located and easy to access with ample parking, Hayashi Yakiniku balances affordability with authenticity. It stands out as a solid choice for those craving traditional Japanese barbecue without stretching the budget. Whether you're a seasoned Yakiniku enthusiast or exploring Japanese cuisine for the first time, this spot presents a reliable blend of taste, setting, and warmth in Mandaluyong’s dining scene.

We randomly found this restaurant while looking for somewhere to eat around Circuit and were pleasantly surprised by the experience. The quality of meat was great compared to other similar joints and there was a wide array of dishes and side dishes included just for 550 pesos! Points for improvement however include fixing the ventilation and air-conditioning (wasn't working when we were there) and the service; it takes a couple of calls before the server gets back to our table. PS order the chicken teriyaki, it was juicy and delicious!

The best Yakiniku Place that I have ever been to. Solid tastes of authentic, if not really, Japanese food. The price is very affordable at 549 php per head. Ambience is off the charts.

Visit experience : June 09, 2023 Location : nearby to ParkLea and Bermuda Hotel just a few exercise steps away. The place looks like a house when you are looking at it from outside. The parking space is enough. They have function rooms where you can ask for a reservation if you are a group whose planning to visit soon. But if for family groups with kids the place is not that highly recommended. The rooms that we stayed is in second floor. We were about 15 pax. There were 3 long tables. In the room, there is a TV where they are allowing customers to use it for karaoke. You need to pay 250 pesos not sure if its for an hour rate only. Foods served to us that gives me thumbs up: - the beef strips - the fried chix - beef and pork samg - rice and some side dishes - drinks cucumber flavor is nice to my taste buds During the visit staff is readily available to attend all of our needs for our room. Price : Aside from other extra orders, they have starter package of 549 pesos to experience.

While this place used to be a favorite, it's showing its age. Parking is easy to find, and the ambiance is decent, but there's a persistent issue: it gets uncomfortably hot, even with the air conditioning. Additionally, they recently switched from a convenient order-at-your-table system to a buffet-style service. Still an okay experience at the price point.

It's like having a mini buffet of it's own. You can order Karaage, Katsu (regular or with curry), roasted chicken, takoyaki, okonomiyaki, beef misono. Order these while waiting for the grill to cook.

It looks small from the outside view but it can accommodate a lot of people. It even has a second floor and can be used for a small gathering. Pricing is reasonable too and the food is fresh when we came to visit. Will definitely go back here...

The food is great and the options are available except for the burger patty. A little bit hot inside hoping they open their aircon or change it because need to upgrade to higher tonnage due to store area is quiet big for the aircon. Also the service is slow maybe because it's lunch time and less customers are coming. Value for your money.
